  • Built and ramped-up a new hardware engineering organisation from scratch during 1996 to 1999.
  • R&D Project manager & chief designer for hardware, software and system development of several Nokia products, such as: WCDMA (3G) base-station signal processing unit, ATM-based DSLAM, ATM Integrated Access Device (IAD), DSL modems, all of these involving several ASIC designs.
  • Hardware engineer in several telecom system R&D projects: analogue and digital circuitry, CPU and DSP subsystems, ASIC & FPGA designs.
  • Embedded software engineer in several telecom system R&D projects: Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software for high-speed modems in assembly language, user interface & node control software in C.
  • Did my Master’s Thesis for the degree of M.SC. EE, aka “Diploma Engineer” at the Helsinki University of Technology. The university was later restricted and is to today called the Aalto University.
